Common questions

Does it sound robotic?

Not at all. Ada uses a natural, conversational voice. She's warm, she's friendly and she gets to the point. Most callers just want to get booked in quickly.

What if a caller doesn't want to deal with an AI?

Ada introduces herself as a booking assistant and handles most callers without any fuss. If someone insists on speaking to you, she'll take their name and number so you can ring them back. If she takes no details at all, there's nothing to send you and nothing to charge for.

Will I need to change my phone number?

No. You keep your existing number. We give you a unique All Jobs Booked number and set a conditional divert so calls only forward to Ada when you don't answer.

How does the booking work?

Ada takes the caller's details, what the job is and when suits them, then emails you the lot. If they'd rather speak to you first, she logs a callback instead. Either way it's in your inbox before you're back in the van.

What if Ada gets something wrong?

Everything she takes lands in your inbox, so you see it before you go anywhere. If a detail looks off you've got the caller's number right there to check. We'd want to know too: send it over and we'll adjust how she handles that kind of call.

Does she answer outside my working hours?

Yes, round the clock. A call at nine on a Sunday night still gets answered and still gets emailed to you. She only offers times inside the hours you give us, so nobody gets told you'll come out on a Sunday morning unless you work Sunday mornings.

What if I only miss a few calls a month?

That's fine. The £1.50 only applies when Ada actually takes someone's details for you, so a quiet month costs you very little and a busy one pays for itself several times over. If the same person rings back within a month about the same job, you're only charged once.

Are calls recorded?

Yes, and Ada tells the caller so at the start. Recordings and transcripts are stored securely, and we use them to check the quality of her work and to settle any question about what was said. The privacy policy sets out how long we keep them.

What trades do you support?

Any trade that takes bookings over the phone. Ada isn't a generic script: she's set up around your trade in particular, the jobs you take on, the ones you don't, the areas you cover and how you like work booked in. We do that with you before you go live, so whether you're a plumber, a locksmith or a tree surgeon, she talks like someone who knows your work.

How quickly can I get started?

We're not live just yet. Register your interest and we'll confirm by email, then call you before launch to get everything ready. Setup takes around 15 minutes and Ada is live on your number from launch day.
